Our Funding in Action

Young Futures Fund - 2026

This fund has continued after being introduced in 2025. This year, funding was delivered through three focused funds aimed at supporting young people. In total, £772,814 was awarded to 986 community groups. Support was targeted to meet the fund aims, from mental health and wellbeing for teenagers to help for families during school holidays and opportunities for younger children to lead active lives.

Better Together Fund - 2025

This fund was launched to help bring people closer together, reducing loneliness and social isolation. In total, £401,400 was provided to 586 community groups who have a particular focus on supporting the older or more vulnerable members of the local community.

Foodbank Fundamentals Fund - 2025

Our Foodbank Fundamentals Fund was first launched in 2024, following analysis that food banks were struggling to keep up with demand for their service following the ongoing cost of living crisis. In total, the fund provided £400,200 to 652 food banks and food providers across the UK, with funding used to restock supplies of food and hygiene products, white goods and equipment and to cover fuel costs for volunteers.

Young Futures Fund - 2025

Young Futures was introduced to provide funding to community groups supporting teenagers and young people aged 13-21, helping to improve their mental health and wellbeing, and create positive life opportunities for all involved. Through this fund we awarded £510,465 to 555 community groups who are providing services to support young people. From peer-led support groups and sports programmes to creative workshops and spaces for reflection, recovery, and growth, the range of projects funded has been both inspiring and impactful.

Outdoor Community Spaces Fund - 2025

This fund was created to support inclusive, welcoming outdoor spaces that bring people together, reduce loneliness, and boost well-being. The response to our Outdoor Community Spaces Fund was remarkable. We’re proud to have awarded £529,977 in grants to 303 community groups across the UK working to improve outdoor spaces. It’s been truly inspiring to see the tangible impact this funding has made at a local level.
